Abstract

This Order establishes that ecological stations shall ensure supervision over emissions to the atmosphere by motor transport, import, export and transit hazardous substances and illegally procured (without licence) wild fauna and wild flora species that can damage environment and wildlife. Ecological stations shall carry out the following functions: (a) instrument inspection of the contents of carbon dioxide in exhausts of petrol-powered vehicles; (b) instrument inspection of exhaust opacity of diesel-powered vehicles; (c) inspection of hazardous cargo; and (d) imposition of fines for excessive emissions of hazardous substances to environment.
