Order No. 1177-21 of the Ministry of Economy validating certain regulatory acts regarding the use of antimicrobial veterinary medicinal products in veterinary medicine and reporting on the scope of their use.

Abstract

The Procedure for using antimicrobial veterinary medicinal products in veterinary medicine defines the rules for the use of antimicrobial veterinary medicinal products, the obligations of persons who use them, measures aimed at reducing the use of antimicrobial veterinary medicinal products, and measures to control the use of antimicrobial veterinary medicinal products in veterinary medicine. It classifies antimicrobial veterinary medicinal products in four categories (A,B,C and D), of which antimicrobial veterinary medicinal products of A category cannot be used for the treatment of productive farm animals, antimicrobial veterinary medicinal products of B category are used for treatment of unproductive farm animals, antimicrobial veterinary medicinal products of C category are used for treatment of farm animals only in the absence of effective anti-inflammatory drugs of D category and antimicrobial veterinary medicinal products of D category are used for treatment on the first day of treatment. The Procedure for submitting a report by veterinary medicine specialists who use antimicrobial veterinary medicinal products for the treatment of animals, on the amount of antimicrobial veterinary medicinal products used thereby defines the rules for keeping and submitting reports on the amount of antimicrobial veterinary medicinal products used by veterinary medicine specialists who use them to treat animals. The report contains the following information: (a) report compilation date, report submission period; (b) name of antimicrobial veterinary medicinal product; (c) pharmaceutical form of antimicrobial veterinary medicinal product; (d) concentration of the active substance of antimicrobial veterinary medicinal product; (e) registration certificate number, series number and expiration date of antimicrobial veterinary medicinal product; (f) international non-proprietary name(s) of the active substance(s); (g) surname, first name, patronymic (if any) of holders owners) of animals treated with antimicrobial veterinary medicinal product; (h) the species, breed, age and weight of the animal, the number of animals treated with antimicrobial veterinary medicinal product; (i) diagnosis of animals treated with antimicrobial veterinary medicinal product and the date of issuance of the prescription; (j) the number of tablets, ampoules, vials specified in the prescription; (k) duration of the treatment course; (l) compliance with withdrawal (waiting) periods; (m) the number of antimicrobial veterinary medicinal product that were applied; and (n) information about the supplier (seller) of antimicrobial veterinary medicinal product.
