Abstract

This Regulation establishes the procedure for the conduct of tourism in protected areas and payment of one-time environmental fees. It also specifies activities and functions of the organizations operating in specific protected areas. Tourism in protected areas shall be subject to authorization and coordination by the authorized state institution in the field of protected areas. Tourism must be ecofriendly and aimed at increasing income and improving livelihoods of the communities living in buffer zones of protected areas. Tourism shall be conducted in accordance with tourism development plans drafted by regional and local government with a view of promotion of protected areas and objects of historical and cultural heritage. Tourism shall be subject to mandatory payment of one-time environmental fees for access to protected areas. Tourism shall be regulated by contracts.
