Abstract This Order approves for 2020 the Regulation for the Support Scheme for the Temporary Cessation of Fishing Activities of Multipurpose Vessels. This Regulation, consisting of 17 articles and one Annex, establishes, within the framework of the EMFF, a support regime for the temporary cessation of fishing activity by shipowners and fisherfolks of vessels licensed for longline, beam trawling, hooks and/or other fishing gear, called multipurpose. The support provided for in this Regulation is intended to compensate shipowners and fisherfolks for the temporary cessation of the activity of the fleet designated as multipurpose, duly licensed, motivated by the outbreak of the new Coronavirus (COVID-19). Annex specifies the financial compensations to vessel owners.
