Abstract This Order, consisting of 18 articles and one Annex, establishes the system of production and trade of wines and wine products entitled to the designation of origin “Beira Interior”. It defines that the designation of origin 'Beira Interior' may be used for the production of the following product categories: a) White, red or rosé wine; b) Quality sparkling wine; c) Liqueur wine. It specifies that these products must be produced in the respective geographical area and satisfy the requirements established in this Order and other applicable legislation, except for the wine distillate to be added for the production of liqueur wine.
