Reserve shall be located in Hasansky, Ussurijsky and Nadezhdin districts of the Primorye region with total area of 169 429 thousand ha. Reserve shall have the following purposes: (a) conservation, and reproduction of Far Eastern leopard and Amour tiger – rare and endangered wild fauna species recorded in Red Book of the Russian Federation; (b) conservation and reproduction of other rare and endangered animal species; (c) conservation of migration routes of wildlife species; (d) ecological monitoring; and (e) ecological education. The following activities shall be prohibited on the territory of reserve: (a) all types of hunting; (b) industrial of fisheries; (c) logging, procurement of soft resin and non-timber forest products; (d) irrigation and land reclamation; (e) construction; (f) application of chemicals and fertilizers; and (g) introduction and acclimatization of living organisms.
