Abstract

The Order applies to commercial shrimp-fishing licence which may be issued to vessels of 80 BRT. If they are in possession of a shrimp-fishing licence for 1982, they will not be required to apply for a new one for 1982. Agreement of landing raw shrimps for production in Greenland must be pre-established and be of a minimum of 10% of the catch. Shrimp-fishing licences include requirement for fishing vessel crew to be at least 60% of its total and consisting of individuals residing in Greenland for at least 2 years having fishery as their main source of income. The license also include requirement of permitted area, catch quantity and time restrictions. If TAC ceiling is reached, notification to suspend fishing activities shall be given by the Directorate of Commerce via radio and press
