Abstract

Regulation establishes the requirements for reforestation, the composition of the reforestation project, the procedure for developing the reforestation project and making changes to it. Reforestation consists of a complex of natural processes, including those caused by special technological and organizational measures, for the formation of young closed forest plantations (young stands) of the main forest tree species on land intended for reforestation. The main forest tree species include tree species that best meet the growing conditions, ecosystem and socio-economic goals of forest development. Criteria and requirements for reforestation of the main forest tree species are established in this Regulation, Annexes, and forest management regulations of forest districts. Reforestation includes: (a) planning - determining the location and annual accounting of land areas for reforestation; (b) survey of land plots; (c) design; (d) performance of work; (e) acceptance of work performed; and (f) inventory of measures for artificial and combined reforestation. The final stage of reforestation is a survey with the aim of classifying land intended for reforestation as land on which forests are located and preparing an act on changing the documented information of the state forest registry. Inspection of land plots is carried out using ground and (or) remote methods, visual and (or) instrumental methods. Surveys are carried out using the requirements established in national and interstate standards. Reforestation is carried out in a natural, artificial or combined way in order to restore cut down, dead, damaged forests, as well as to preserve the useful functions of forests, their biological diversity.
