Users of aquatic biological resources, fishing vessels performing fishing, or directly the masters of fishing vessels during the period of fishing of Azov anchovy (Engraulis encrasicolus), sprat (Clupeonella cultriventris) and round goby (Gobius melanostomus) with dredges with a mechanized method of using gillnets, must provide operational information to the territorial body of the State Fisheries Agency at the established time about: (a) the name of fishing vessel; (b) catch; (c) fishing area; (d) bycatch of small fry; and (e) bycatch of sturgeon and zander. Marking of fishing vessels must comply with the National Standard of Ukraine. Fishing for sturgeon species in the basin of the Sea of Azov is prohibited. Sturgeon species and other species of aquatic biological resources listed in the Red Book of Ukraine, which are caught during fishing as bycatch, both adult species that have reached industrial size and young fish, are immediately released into the sea regardless of their condition (alive or dead).
