This Order enters into force on the day of its publication.
Abstract

This Order COMLURB establishes the Regulation of the Office for Environmental Sustainability (ESA). ESA will be coordinated by a technician with experience in the environment and in waste management and will function using cross-cutting principles, using therefore, the technical and administrative structure of DTL, as a priority, as well as material and human resources available. ESA assignments and responsibilities are: Analyze the portfolio of projects and contracts, in force and future, regarding the subject of treatment and final destination, pointing out weaknesses and risks and indicating solutions appropriate from the environmental point of view and based on safeguards of the treasury Contractual guarantees in force and legal opinions of both CIA technicians and external control bodies; To seek new technologies and methodologies that may be adopted by COMLURB in its regular activities assigned by the City Hall, resulting in a reduction in the consumption of non-renewable materials and fossil fuels and in the reduction of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and pollutants into the atmosphere, provided that they are technically and economically viable, all for the environmentally sound environment and sustainable development; To seek to adapt COMLURB's operational procedures to the principles of circular economy; Maintain relationships with other City Hall, Rio de Janeiro State and Federal Government agencies whenever any environmental initiative adopted by COMLURB has interface and synergy with any institution in one of these spheres of power.
