Abstract This Order adopts the Regulation "On a multi-year rehabilitation plan for spearfish”. The object of this Regulation is the achievement of level of spearfish (Xiphias gladius), which corresponds to the maximum sustainable yield until 2031, with a probability of at least 60%, of achieving this objective. The annual catch (quota) for whitefish (Xiphiasgladius) is determined on an annual basis by ICCAT. The Directorate responsible for fishing drafts the Annual Fishing Plan for spearfish, according to the format defined by the ICCAT guide, where the quota, the number of allowed vessels, the distribution of the quota among the segments of the fleet and the amount of unwanted catches are all determined.
