Abstract This Order approves the Regulation of the Genetic Heritage Management Council (CGEN). This Regulation, consisting of 65 articles divided into seven Chapters, establishes composition and duties of CGEN as a collegiate body, responsible for performing the following activities: coordinate the design, preparation and implementation of policies for the management of access to genetic heritage and traditional knowledge and the distribution of benefits, formed by the representation of organs and entities of the Federal Public Administration and representatives of civil society, pursuant to Law No. 13.123 of 20 May 2015, and regulated by Decree no. 8.772 of 11 May 2016.
