This Order enters into force on the day of its publication.
Abstract

This Order establishes the National Air Quality Management System (MonitorAr) and the National Air Programme (Air Puro). The objectives of the National Air Quality Management System - MonitorAr are: automatically and seamlessly disseminate information to citizens regarding air quality monitoring in the Federative Units; promote the sharing of knowledge and information regarding air quality management; encourage monitoring, control and reduction of pollutant emissions. The Ministry of the Environment and state and district environmental agencies must disclose monitoring data and information related to air quality management, as provided in art. 12 of CONAMA Resolution No. 491/2018. The National Air Programme (Ar Puro) aims to: improve air quality management in the country by monitoring, controlling and reducing air pollutant emissions; promote actions to improve information management for knowledge and dissemination of information related to air quality management; establish guidelines and indicators for planning, implementing and monitoring urban air quality; and improve the quality of life in cities, valuing the provision of ecosystem services in these areas.
