This Order enters into force on the day of its publication.
Abstract

This Order, consisting of 12 articles, establishes the Plan for the eradication of the pest Helicoverpa armigera and emergency measures for plant health protection, which shall be established by the State Authority for Agricultural and Livestock Protection, based on the Management Plan set out by the Brazilian Agricultural and Livestock Research Company as follows: use of cultivations that restrict or eliminate infected plant by this pest; determination of plant sowings and subsequent restriction of crops; rotation period of land; use of biological control; use of chemical control; using traps, baits or other methods of physical control; determining the adoption of integrated pest management of emergency; massive release of biological control agents; and cultural practices, such as crop rotation, adopting shelter areas, destruction of crop waste etc. The management plan is available on the website www.mapa.gov.br.
