Abstract

This Order, made pursuant to section 32 of the Nova Scotia Health Protection Act 2004, adopts several measures considering that COVID-19 has been identified as a communicable disease that presents a risk to public health as defined under s.4(b) of the Health Protection Act. The document includes provisions on health measures, specifically regarding self-isolation and self-quarantine, to be adopted in public spaces and within Nova Scotia territory. This provisions affect to fishing crews and fishing vessels, food production plants, public services such as Solid Waste, garbage and litter collection and disposal and Urban Forestry, Among others. The document also contain specific provisions for workers who are essential to the movement of people and goods, and for Temporary Foreign Workers.
