The Order declares that the limits of the “Lunugamvehera National Park” shall be altered by the following Schedule declaring the area of State land described to be a National Reserve. In addition, it establishes new limits of this protected area comprising 27185.85 Hectares, situated within the Divisional Secretary’s Divisions of Wellawaya, Thanamalwila, Katharagama and Buttala in the Monaragala District in the Uva Province and the Divisional Secretary’s Division of Lunugamvehera in the Hambantota District, in the Southern Province, and bounded by limits and the geographical co-ordinates specified within.
