Abstract This Order, consisting of 37 articles divided into five Chapters and 1 Annex, establishes the measures and procedures for the prevention of foot and mouth disease in the State of Paraná, according to State Decree No. 12.029 of 1 September 2014. It specifies the following measures to be taken within the State: prophylaxis of FMD will be done through systematic vaccination of cattle and buffaloes in a compulsory way; vaccinations will be determined by the ADAPAR and consider the particularities of the disease and of the susceptible species; producers should run the vaccination of cattle and buffaloes during official vaccination campaigns; the official vaccination campaigns against foot and mouth disease will be held from 1 to 31 May and 1 to 30 November, identified in May and November step, respectively (changes may be done by ADAPAR accordingly).
