This Order enters into force on the day of its publication.
Abstract

This Order establishes the rules for the control of the transit of plants and their parts, except for in vitro material, hosts of the Palm's Red Mite (Raoiella indica Hirst) in the State of Bahia. It prescribes that the above mentioned activity within the Bahian territory, originating from Federation areas where the pest is found, is restricted. The plants and their host parts of this pest may move from a Brazilian State with the occurrence of the plague through the State of Bahia, provided that they meet the requirements set forth in this Order. When they come from Municipalities where this pest is officially absent, according to the results of the delimitation surveys carried out every six months by the agricultural protection agency and must meet the following: come from Production Units inspected by the Technical Responsible who issues a Phytosanitary Certificate of Origin (CFO) or Consolidated Phytosanitary Certificate of Origin (CFOC), with the following Additional Declaration: "The presence of Raoiella indicates Hirst was not observed at the production site and departure has been inspected and is free from the plague"; the plants are transported in a lorry or box truck; and accompanied by a Vegetable Transit Permit (PTV), based on CFO/CFOC.
