Abstract

The present Order is enacted under the Natural Products Marketing Act. In particular, the Order lays down provisions relating to the safety of chicken farms. This programme ensures that top safety procedures and standardized safety systems will be found on every Canadian chicken farm, allowing Canadian chicken farmers continue to produce safe and high quality product. The programme combines good production practices as well as internationally recognized Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) principles into chicken production. The text consists of 16 sections.
