Abstract

This Regulation implements provisions of the Oil and Gas Act with respect to prospecting and development of oil and gas resources in Papua New Guinea including the offshore area as defined in the Act. The Regulation defines a series of obligations of licensees including the duty of reporting, testing in relation with waste or contamination of oil, gas or water, safety, protection of pipelines, the release of information, action in case of oil spills, use of explosives, use and protection of water, etc.
