In particular, the Regulations lay down provisions relating to the administration and disposition of oil and gas explorations in the Province. Section 2 establishes that for the purposes of these Regulations, Canada lands shall be divided into grid areas. The text – consisting of 110 sections – deals, inter alia, with the following aspects: land division, surveys, monuments, development wells, prohibitions, exploratory licences, exploration agreements, permitees, terms of permit, permit renewal, deposits, expenditure, oil and gas leases.
