The present Regulations come into force on 1 April 2014.
Abstract

The present Regulations are made under section 52 of the Oil and Gas Operations Act. In particular, the Regulations lay down provisions relating to application and issuing of operating licences. Section 3 establishes that for the purpose of ensuring the safety of an installation, no operator shall use the installation unless the equipment on the installation is arranged in accordance with these Regulations to: a) provide for the safety of personnel; b) minimize damage to the environment; and c) enable easy access to the equipment. The text consists of 74 sections divided into 6 Parts as follows: General requirements (I); Analysis and design (2); Construction and installation offshore (3); Operations and maintenance offshore (4); Records and reporting (5); Offences (6).
