Abstract The objects and purposes of this Act are to provide for, encourage and facilitate the safe and efficient development, and the maximum economic recovery, of the oil, gas, helium and oil shale resources of the province in accordance with the principles of sustainable development; to prevent the waste of oil, gas, helium and oil share resources, to protect the correlative rights of owners; to provide for the safe and efficient construction and operation of pipelines; and to provide for the safe and efficient development and operation of storage reservoirs (sect. 2).
