Abstract

Veterinary Department establishes the modalities of import and use of meat products because of complicated epizootic situation as regards infectious animal diseases. Import of meat, all types of raw meat products and meat-based products, milk products (except for canned products) is prohibited from all African states, most states of Central and Southern America, Near East and Asia. Import of meat products from the states that are excluded from ban but that do not have co-ordinated forms of veterinary certificates with Russia, is permitted only on condition of fulfilling veterinary compliance requirements imposed by Veterinary Department. The modalities of issuing import authorizations for meat products remain invariable as established by Official Letter No. 19-8-05/250 of 20 January 1994. The conditions of import are subject to updating in accordance with the alteration of epizootic situation. The document consists of 3 Parts. Part 1 deals with import of beef. Part 2 deals with import of pork. Part 3 deals with import of animal products.
