The Act provides a comprehensive and efficient legal and regulatory framework for financing of agriculture in the County for use at the lowest and vulnerable level of governance and to encourage local-level participation. The Fund comprises money which may be devoted from time to time for the purpose by the County Assembly, income from any investment made by the Fund, any donation or grants made towards the Fund, etc. The Act further provides that the Fund shall be administered to community based projects to ensure that the prospective benefits are available to a widespread section of the inhabitants.
