The present Regulations enter into force on 15 June 2001.
Abstract

The present Regulations are made under the Nunavut Act. In particular, the Regulations lay down provisions relating to the protection of cultural heritage in Nunavut. They apply to all lands and waters in Nunavut other than those places listed in section 2. The text – consisting of 17 sections – deals, inter alia, with the following aspects: protection of fossils, protection of palaeontological sites, assignment, expiration, site restoration, reports.
