Abstract

The purpose of this Act is to provide for matters concerning compensation for nuclear damage caused by the operation of nuclear reactors so as to protect victims and to contribute to the sound development of nuclear businesses. This Act shall apply to nuclear damage caused by the outbreak of nuclear incidents in the territory of the Republic of Korea. Article 6 establishes that the amount of an liability insurance policy for nuclear damage compensation and an Indemnity Agreement for nuclear damage compensation shall be the amount prescribed by Presidential Decree within the limit of liabilities for damage. The text consists of 22 articles.
