Abstract This Act aims to protect the health, welfare and safety of the people of Victoria and to limit deterioration of the environment by prohibiting the establishment of nuclear activities and by regulating the possession of certain nuclear materials, in a manner consistent with and conducive to assisting the Commonwealth of Australia in meeting its international nuclear non-proliferation objectives.
