This Notification enters into force on 1 January 2021.
Abstract

This Notification lays down the principles and procedures of safety control over imported consumer goods with the aim of protection of human health, life and property, consumer and the environment. This Notification shall apply to consumer goods listed in Annex-I and subject to release free for circulation. The safety control shall be carried out on consumer goods listed in Annex-I in compliance with the provisions of the Regulation on Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals, the Regulation on biocidal products, and the Notification on compliance control on some consumer products. This Notification sets out provisions on the inspection and permit procedures through an online risk-based inspection system; application procedures; exceptional cases and exemptions; risk analysis; informing Customs Administration with the reference number; duties and responsibilities of the importer; sanctions and related measures.
