Abstract This Notification sets forth principles and procedures of inspection on imported chemicals and their products in terms of environmental standards. This Notification shall apply to the chemicals listed in Annex-I. The import of chemicals listed in Annex-I is prohibited within the scope of the release free for circulation, inward processing regime, processing under customs control and temporary admission. The chemicals listed in Paragraph 3 of Article 3 may be imported upon approval of the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization only for laboratory analysis and compulsory use. This Notification sets forth provisions on import procedures and certification, registration of importers, control certificate, duration and termination of control certificates, customs procedures and related measures.
