The Notification enters into force on the day it is published in the Official Journal.
Abstract

This Notification sets forth the rules and procedures of analysis to verify purity criteria of food additives. The Notification covers provisions on the methods of analysis to verfy the purity criteria of colorants, preservatives and antioxidants. The Notification is drafted in accordance with the European Commission Directive 81/712/EEC of 28 July 1981 laying down Community methods of analysis for verifying that certain additives used in foodstuffs satisfy criteria of purity.
