Therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred under Sub-section (1) of Section 3 and Clause (d) of Sub-section (2) of Section 6 of the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986 (read with Rule 13 of the Environment (Protection) Rules, 1986), the Central Government hereby prohibits from the date of publication of this Notification the import of the hazardous wastes listed in the Table, including wastes containing pesticides, herbicides and insecticides and their intermediates/residues thereof including outdated pesticides.
