Abstract The aim of this Notification is to ensure that vegetable oils are produced with the right technique and sanitary procedures. The Notification covers safflower oil, sunflower seed oil, babassu oil, coconut oil, corn oil, cottonseed oil, palm oil, rapeseed oil, soybean oil, sesame oil, grape seed oil, peanut oil and sets forth the product features of each type of oil and the rules and procedures of preparation, processing, packaging, conservation, storage, transportation and sales. The Notification further covers provisions on additives, contaminants, pesticide residues and hygiene.
