The Minister of Water Affairs and Forestry hereby directs that the following restriction of water for irrigation purposes shall apply, due to water shortage: abstraction for irrigation purposes within the Riet River and its tributary the Modder River downstream of the Krugersdrift dam, (including the Scholtzburg and Lower Riet River Irrigation Districts) must be curtailed to 35 percent of the full quota delivered from the Krugersdrift Dam.
