Abstract Section 4 of the above-mentioned Act establishes a corporation called the “Northwest Territories Hydro Corporation”. Section 5 lists the objects of the Corporation as follows: a) to generate, transform, transmit, distribute, deliver, sell and supply electricity on a safe, economic, efficient and reliable basis; b) to undertake programs to conserve electricity; c) to ensure a continuous supply of electricity adequate for the needs and future development of the Northwest Territories; and d) to undertake any other activity authorized by the Executive Council.
