This Act enters into force on 1 January 2013.
Abstract

This Act, consisting of 42 sections divided into six Parts, provides for the establishment of the Northern Territory Environment Protection Authority to promote ecologically sustainable development, protect the environment, promote effective waste management and waste minimization strategies, and to enhance community and business confidence in the environmental protection regime of the Territory.
