For the purpose of increasing employment opportunities for persons residing in the district, the Minister may, subject to such terms and conditions as he considers necessary and to the regulations: a) purchase, lease or otherwise acquire any real or personal property required for the development and operation of: i) wood processing and marketing; ii) agricultural farms; iii) tourist outfitting activities; iv) mineral exploration and evaluation; v) recreation subdivisions and related infrastructure. Furthermore, the Minister may establish a division of the department, to be called the Construction Division, for the purpose of procuring all such construction machinery and equipment and all such materials, supplies and labour as may be required for use in providing construction service and for the purpose of providing such service.
