Licences shall be issued by the Assistant Director of Fisheries. The Rules specify the duration of validity of a licence, the area to which it extends, kinds of fishing gear allowed, restrictions on the size of fish, and licence fees. Regarding trout waters of the five districts of the Northern Areas, these Rules provide for their division into 23 reaches and for the granting of licences for trout waters.
