Abstract

This Norm establishes the procedures for proving the regularity of transport, handling, use, consumption, stockpiling or storage of forestry exotic species products and by-products. The registration of wood products in the Forestry Document (DOF) System will be done after being converted into Metres of Coal (MDC) by the holder after the IMA has released the environmental licence for this activity in the Forestry Document DOF System. Where there is no production of charcoal, they are exempt from the obligation to use the DOF for: Eradication of crops, orchards or pruning on urban public roads; Finished by-products, packaged and manufactured for final use, including charcoal packaged in the retail trade; Pulp, gum, resins and other wood pulp; Any residues processing and industrialization of wood and coconuts; Charcoal briquettes; Wood used and reused; Bamboo (Bambusa vulgaris) and related species; Shrubby vegetation of planted origin for any purpose; and Ornamental, medicinal and aromatic plants, palmácea fibers, essential oils, seedlings, roots, bulbs, vines, bark and leaves of native origin of species not listed in official lists of endangered species.
