This Norm enters into force on the day of its publication.
Abstract

This Norm, consisting of 36 articles divided into eight Chapters and seven Annexes, establishes, within the scope of the Secretariat of Aquaculture and Fisheries of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (SAP/MAPA), the criteria and requirements for the accreditation and monitoring of certifying bodies to carry out the compliance verification stage, the hygienic-sanitary conditions of fishing vessels, in the Annexes of this Norm. The accreditation is intended to support the demands of the official control of compliance with the hygienic-sanitary conditions of fishing vessels under the responsibility of the Secretariat of Aquaculture and Fisheries of the SAP/MAPA. The criteria and requirements established apply to public companies, mixed-capital companies controlled by the Union and companies in the private sector too. Interested companies that are under bankruptcy, judicial or extrajudicial recovery, dissolution or liquidation will be excluded from the accreditation process.
