Abstract This Norm MAPA, consisting of 10 articles, creates the National System for Agricultural and Livestock Emergencies (SINEAGRO) which includes the set of agencies, activities, standards and procedures, with permanent and coordinated action to prepare and respond to agricultural emergencies. It establishes composition, duties and responsibilities of the above mentioned SINEAGRO, entitled to coordinate the National Force of SUASA - FN-Suasa, established by Decree No. 8.762 of 2016. The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply is the highest authority of SINEAGRO, which will have the strategic coordination of the Secretariat of Agricultural Protection - SDA, in accordance with the guidelines and procedures defined in the National Contingency Plan for Agricultural and Livestock Emergencies. SINEAGRO is composed by: Veterinary and Phytosanitary Emergencies Surveillance System, under the responsibility and coordination of the Department of Animal Health and the Department of Plant Protection, respectively.
