Abstract

This Norm, consisting of 34 articles divided into six Chapters, establishes the guidelines, criteria and procedures to request the authorization for wildlife exploitation under the Environmental Licensing of the State of Bahia through the Survey, Rescue and Monitoring of Wildlife in areas of influence of activities considered potentially impacting on wildlife. Wildlife exploitation carried out by enterprises and activities subject to the state environmental licensing must be previously authorized by INEMA through the Wildlife Management Authorization. The Wildlife Management Authorization shall be granted to enterprises identified in the application for such authorization and not to the consulting firm that will carry out the study. The Authorization for Wildlife Management for enterprises licensed by the state body, when required, will be part of the environmental licensing, and will be granted in the respective authorizing act. To carry out a study that needs to manage fauna species and that is not linked to the state environmental licensing, it will be necessary to form the MFA process and its concession will occur through a certificate.
