Abstract

This Norm, consisting of 16 articles and five Annexes, establishes within the State of Pará, complementary norms and measures directed to the implementation of the Programme of Equine Health in the State through the registration of private veterinarians for conducting tests on Equine Infectious Anemia (EIA) and Glanders. The collection of samples and requisition of laboratory examination for the diagnosis of EIA and Glanders within the State may only be performed by veterinarians from the private initiative who have been specifically registered for this purpose with the Agency of Agricultural Protection of the State of Pará. In order to implement this registration ADEPARA, through the Official Veterinarian and/or official responsible for the local office, will receive the necessary documentation for the registration of veterinarians from the private initiative interested in carrying out the sample collection and requesting laboratory examination for diagnosis of EIA and Glanders. For purposes of registration or even updating, the Veterinarian concerned shall formalize the request with ADEPARÁ accompanied by specific documents.
