Abstract

These Regulations implement provisions of the Norfolk Island National Park and Norfolk Island Botanic Garden Act 1984: by providing for the designation and powers of Park Superintendent; by defining various activities as offences; and by providing rules for the permitting of activities in Norfolk Island National Park that would otherwise be prohibited by these Regulations. Prohibited activities include the taking of plants or animals and polluting. The Park Superintendent may take reasonable measures for the control in the Park of animals and plants that are not wildlife.
