Abstract The purpose of the present Law is the construction of a spatial information infrastructure in North Rhine-Westphalia and as such being part of the national spatial information infrastructure. the Law creates the legal framework for the: 1) access to geodata, geodata services and metadata, and 2) the utilization of such data and services, in particular for measures effecting the environment.
