The Act furthermore provides rules for the membership of the Institute and the accreditation of animal science institutions to the Institute and establishes the Nigerian Institute of Animal Science Disciplinary Tribunal. The Institute shall, among other things: (a) prescribe the code of conduct for Animal Scientists; (b) regulate the practice of the profession for Animal Scientists; and (c) establish and maintain a register of Animal Science Practitioners. The Council shall have regulatory powers.
