Abstract This Act ratifies agreements relative to the control, management and use of border rivers between Queensland and New South Wales and makes provision with respect to the Dumaresq-Barwon Border Rivers Commission established by Agreement and the power of the Governor in Council to appoint a Commissioner. Construction of waterworks and acquisition of land for purposes of the Agreement are hereby authorised. The Commission shall monitor groundwater, gauge the flow of specified rivers, and have control over the construction, operation and maintenance of waterworks taken over by it in accordance with the Agreement.
