The Regulations aim at achieving the following objectives: providing the service recipients with the opportunity to facilitate the self-production of electricity, and to reduce their expenditure on electricity services; increasing the amount of electricity generated from the renewable resources; ensuring the rights of service recipients, consumers, and service providers. The Regulations cover the following matters: types of technology permitted; determination of total capacity of the service providers; agreements between service provider and service recipient; security standards and operating standards of the system; maintenance of registry; permission to connect to the service provider's electricity grid.
