The Authority shall act to administer and enforce the act as well as make recommendations on the management, development, conservation and protection of fisheries and marine resources (sect. 5). The Board of Directors of the Authority shall act to manage the affairs and exercise the powers of the Authority (sect. 6). All property held by the Department of Fisheries and Marine Resources is transferred to the Authority (sect. 30).
