Abstract This Regulation implements the Nature Conservation Act 1992. Part 2 provides for the dedication and naming of national parks, conservation parks, resources reserves and of indigenous joint management areas. Part 3 concerns the declaration and management of nature refuges. Part 4 is dedicated to conservation areas, their declaration and interim management. Part 5 contains miscellaneous provisions. The Regulation is completed by 6 Schedules: national parks (scientific), national parks, national parks (Cape York Peninsula Aboriginal land), national parks (recovery), conservation parks, resources reserves, indigenous joint management areas, natural refuges, and coordinated conservation areas.
